As a professional laundry worker, what knowledge should be mastered in daily work? In this article, we continue to share it with you.
Why Do Down Jackets Tend to Get Water Stains after Drying?
The problem of water stains on the down jacket always troubles laundry shops. Especially light-colored down jackets are much easier to get water stains, which may make the customer think it wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. So why do water stains appear on down jackets?
The fabric of down jackets has a relatively high density and poor water permeability. Some fabrics are even coated. The high surface tension of cold water makes it difficult to soak down jackets thoroughly during soaking. However, the low surface tension of the detergent enables it to quickly penetrate into the down feather that has not been fully soaked by cold water. In this way, the detergents cannot be removed thoroughly during the rinse. During the natural drying process, water is transferred from the down to the fabric, along with detergent that has not been rinsed thoroughly, resulting in water stains after drying.
Is longer washing better?
Here is the question: The longer the clothes are washed, the cleaner they will be? No. A too short washing time or a too long washing time cannot make the clothes clean. We all know that a short washing time cannot ensure the complete removal of the stains. But do you know why longer washing times cannot ensure washing quality?
Why Do Underloading Machines Harm Cleanliness?
To know this problem, we should first know that mechanical force is also an important factor affecting decontamination effects during the washing process, regardless of water temperature, washing duration, and detergents.
The mechanical force of an industrial washing machine is achieved through the rotation of the drum, which involves processes such as dropping, squeezing, and rubbing of clothes to remove dirt. Among them, dropping and squeezing are the main mechanical forces for washing. In the washing process of the industrial washing machines, if the loading volume is lower than 60%, its dropping and friction will be greatly reduced, so as to reduce the cleanliness. Of course, if the loading requirements of the industrial washing machine are exceeded during the washing process, leaving insufficient space for the clothes to be dropped during the washing process, it will also lead to a decrease in the degree of cleanliness.
