Precision Dosing: A Key to Cost Control in Laundry Operations

In commercial laundry, every gram of chemical matters. Getting the dosage right keeps fabrics clean and helps control operating costs. This article looks at how proper measurement of detergents supports both wash quality and cost efficiency.

1. Weight measurement of solid materials​
Units and tools: Based on grams (g) or kilograms (kg), the error of the electronic scale must be controlled within ±2g.
Practical examples:
​Shirt washing: 15kg of light-colored shirts need to add 75g of general laundry detergent (proportion 0.5%).
​Hand washing: One T-shirt requires 20g of laundry detergent (sprinkle directly into the soaking liquid to avoid clumping).
Cost trap: If 5% excess laundry detergent is used, the annual loss can exceed 10,000 yuan (calculated based on an average daily washing volume of 500kg).

2. Volume measurement of liquid materials
Unit selection: mainly milliliters (ml), the accuracy of the measuring cylinder or quantitative pump must reach ±1ml.
Typical scenarios:
Cashmere sweater care: 4-6 ml/piece of neutral detergent (excessive use will cause fiber clumping);
Fluffing treatment of down: 10-15 ml/piece of glacial acetic acid (pH value needs to be stable at 4.5-5.5).
Risk of error: Liquid residue on the wall can reduce the actual amount used by 10%, and the tool needs to be calibrated regularly.

3. The underlying logic of the measurement principle
​Concentration formula: Chemical dosage (g or ml) = clothing weight (kg) × target concentration (g/kg or ml/kg).
​Cost formula​: Unit cost = unit price of chemical materials × quantity used + water, electricity and labor allocation.
